Cross-country/alpine/snowboard
Valdres is especially known for its excellent cross-country possibilities.
The trails run over the mountains and through the forests. Beginners as well as advanced cross-country and expert skiers can enjoy the good snow conditions.
The area is also extremely suitable for snowshoe trekking or simply for taking a walk through the snow.

Valdres has a total of seven ski centres, of which Beitostølen is the biggest.
All down-hill possibilities are available here – from green slopes for beginners to black slopes for the real experts.

The nearest ski centre is in cosy Vaset (1000 m altitude), 15 minutes drive from our pension.
It is suitable for beginners and moderate skiersThere is an:

• extensive machine-prepared trail-net (120 km)
• 1 ski lift and a free 100 m. ski-lift for children
• halfpipe
• rent of alpine and snowboard equipment
• ski and snowboard lessons
• a ski pub.

Sleigh-rides
A sleigh-ride is an experience in itself that you will not quickly forget. You can drive a sleigh by yourself with 5-6 dogs or let yourself be driven. Each sleigh has seating capacity for two.
